Suicide in B flat is a meditation on the anxiety of inherited cultural influence, as well as a cryptic lament about the paradoxes of stardom. Written on the slipstream of dime-store mysteries and post-bop jazz, the play centers on Niles, an experimental composer at the end of creative streak who commits ritual “suicide” to free himself from the confines of his own legendary status. Like the real-life Miles Davis or Bob Dylan on whom he is based, Niles must find a way to “disappear” in order to recreate himself and keep his artistic vision alive.

Arthur Conway Hubbard must be considered as a very rare occurrence in today’s confused world of figurative art. Even though born in the United States, Arthur spent the early part of his childhood in the south of England receiving a well groomed European education in a variety of subjects that span from contemporary literature to ancient mythology. As early as his first teenage years he began exploring the world and entering in contact with numerous different cultures in Europe, Africa and Asia developing a great thirst for knowledge which he satisfied by reading countless books on many different subjects.

1991-1999- Studies fine art at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, Toronto, Canada.
Starts acting regularly for television and films.
1999- Group show of drawings, Queen Street Gallery, Toronto, Canada.
Inspired by the works of Egon Schiele, Rembrandt, Carravagio, Whistler and John Singer Sargent she starts her first series of portraits in oil pastel.
2000- Moves to Los Angeles to continue her acting career.
Commissioned by Leonard Kamhout (Chrome Hearts) to do a series of drawings for a collection of five one-of-a-kind creations in silver.
2001- Travels to Europe and studies art history extensively.
Apprentices with painter Bryten Goss, where she also learns the old printmaking techniques, including etching, drypoint, etc.,
2002- Does a series of pencil drawings based on recreated murder scenes.

Antonio de Curtis is born to Naples, in the ward “Sanità”, 15 February of 1898. His mother was Anna Clemente, from which he will acquire the last name that he will hold until the paternal acknowledgment of Giuseppe de Curtis, heir of marquis de Curtis.
