Society Foundation Films has announced the release of “A Short One”, a film directed by Canadian actor/director Dov Tiefenbach. A dark comedy that revolves around the life of Mario, a drunken poet in search for the cure to a devastating heartbreak and the distance he’s willing to go to heal his wounds.
The film emulates the visual style and character of early Woody Allen’s films and is intended to pay homage to one of Tiefenbach’s favorite directors. Written in the words of Matias Masucci, “A Short One” is an introspective look at the effects lack of love and rejection can have on an unstable personality. As most of you already know, Society Foundation is aimed to assist the creation, development and promotion of work in numerous artistic fields that have spanned from painting to photography, from cinema to theatre, from writing to philosophy and from sculpting to architecture to name a few. The Foundation has expanded its reach in the past year by establishing Society Foundation Films. This branch of the foundation is devoted to embody the foundation’s goals in the field of filmmaking and the art of cinema in general.

The old site was getting hacked by some miscreants who apparently had little better to do with their lives. So I’ve moved the entire site to a new technology foundation which should prove more stable and more secure. The galleries are now in their own standalone system, and as much of the content as I could rescue from the old site has also been moved into this one. Forums will get installed sometime soon, we still need to track down any bugs and issues with this new system before adding features.
