On September 10th, 2009 POVevolving Gallery will open a wonderful exhibition of original prints by Los Angeles based artist A. Conway Hubbard.

The show, hosted by Actor / DJ Danny Masterson, marks the artist’s first adventure into the world of drypoint intaglio printing.

The included works are the first that the artist has shown since formulating a special printmaking ink that uses blood as its primary ingredient. For this exhibition, Hubbard has printed each intaglio plate in varying ways using both traditional black inks and his specially created ‘blood ink.’

All of the prints in this exhibition are beautifully framed as groups of prints. A presentation that functions both as a great display of the formal craft involved in making prints of this…

An eclectic joint exhibition in the heart of Chinatown in Los Angeles featuring artists such as Gary Brewer, Simone Gad, Bill Anthony, Richard Kurtz, Doug Sutherland, Cheryl Gross, Lilli Muller, Diane Gamboa and many more. Starting on August 4th 2007 at the L2Kontemporary gallery located at 990 n. Hill street # 205, Los Angeles, CA 90012. Opening receptions starts at 7pm; the show will run through September 1st.

Arthur Conway Hubbard art Gallery Opening

It is with great pride that we announce the imminent opening of Arthur Conway Hubbard’s long awaited exhibition in Los Angeles. The exhibition will focus on his most recent work with a highly skillful and tedious technique of intaglio on copper plates and press printing. This technique, long forgotten by modern-day artists, has produced a series of outstanding prints that once again affirm Mr. Hubbard’s position in today’s art world.

This is a rare opportunity for Society Foundation’s members to see the work of one of the finest realistic painters alive today. This is Mr. Hubbard’s first public exhibition in the North American continent in over ten years and we strongly recommend all fine art enthusiasts to schedule a visit.
